Guru Nanak Free Kitchen check-in app

This is an internal tool for volunteers of Guru Nanak Free Kitchen in Calgary. It is not a public service and it is not a membership system. It records how many households and how many people were served at a food distribution.

Food is never conditional on this app

Nobody is required to show identification, give a name, or give an address in order to receive food. The app is a counting tool. If it is offline, broken, or simply not used, food is still handed out and volunteers record the day on paper.

Volunteer access

Access is granted by the kitchen's coordinators for the purpose of running a distribution. Do not share the password outside the volunteer group, and do not photograph or copy anything you can see on the screen. What you see while a line is open is other people's personal information and it stays inside this app.

No warranty

The app is provided as-is to support the kitchen's work. It may be unavailable when the network at the site is poor.

See the privacy page for exactly what is recorded and what is erased. Alberta law applies.
